Super-Easy DIY Cat Shelves

This cat shelf DIY relatively simple in its most basic form, and is great if you want to give your cat some extra playing space but don’t have the room for a cat tree or something similar.

You will need:

  • Shelves and brackets
  • Some carpet or a cheap rug
  • Strong glue
  • Appropriate screwdriver etc. to attach the shelves to the walls

From Foxflat

  1. If you want to cover the shelves with carpet or something similar, cut your chosen material to the size of your shelf and glue.
  2. Once the glue has dried, attach the shelves to the wall at various heights, and hey presto! You’ve finished

The best thing about this project is that it is totally customizable! Try experimenting with different shelf lengths and heights, and think about what your cat might want to use it for. You could use a larger shelf at the top to provide your cat with a quiet place to sleep, or use a series of small shelves for your cat to jump around on.

Here are some examples of DIY cat perches to give you some inspiration!
