Legendary fashion photographer, Bruce Weber, a firm favourite here at PawPost, creates images that we – both humans and dogs – want to live in.
Though primarily celebrated for his sensual, exuberantly realised fashion tableaux, paired-down portraits of everyday people, and beautifully envisioned documentaries (including one created as a message to his beloved dog, A Letter to True), many of our best-loved Weber images are those of his happy, glorious, life-loving Golden Retrievers. In case you hadn’t already guessed, Weber is as crazy about dogs as we are! He even co-designed special coats for Retrievers with the French design house Moncler, and shot the accompanying campaign.
Weber’s images of dogs in nature, some of which were part of a campaign for the Detroit-based company, Shinola’s pet accessory line, ooze an irresistible innocence and home-grown sensibility, illustrating an enviable and luscious quality of life for two legged and four legged creatures alike. We urge you to get lost in Weber’s dreamy illustrations of one of life’s purest and most profound pleasures: the true love between people and their dogs.
