It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, so now is the time to get booking if you’re planning on taking your pooch on a Christmas break! From the understated to the extravagant, here are five of our favourite dog-friendly hotels in the UK for visiting this Christmas – whether for the big day itself, or to relax after the trauma Christmas shopping!

B+B Edinburgh, Scotland

To get the most out of the festive period, why not visit Edinburgh? Spend your days taking your pooch on a hike up the highest peak in the city, Arthur’s Seat, or go for a walk in one of the city’s several picturesque parks. And at night time, be sure to check out the sights and sounds of the Christmas markets and the festive lights that adorn the city’s architecture. Rooms at B+B Edinburgh start at £60 per night (with a £50 deposit for pooches), and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get some lovely views across the city!
