Princess Monster Truck (or PMT as she is known to her fans) has been hypnotising the internet with her spectacular underbite (and we love an underbite at PawPost), since 2013, and now has over 200,000 Instagram followers.
Princess Monster Truck quite literally fell into the world of feline internet stardom when she appeared on a New York street in front of her new owners, Tracy Timmons and Joseph Bryce. Speaking to Buzzfeed, Tracy says that Monster, “came tumbling out of a bush when we were walking home one night from dinner. Her hair was totally matted, she was really thin, and obviously hungry.”
“Because she is all black and it was night time we didn’t completely see the teeth until she looked up at us and let out a really weird howl/meow. When I saw her face I kind of shrieked and said, ‘What is it?’”
Luckily, Tracy and Joseph were able to welcome Princess Monster Truck into their home, and shortly afterwards set up an Instagram account so that they could share her unique smile with the rest of the world! The regal moggy now lives the high life in Tracy and Joseph’s New York apartment, where she spends most of her time sitting at the window, surveying her kingdom (as any self-respecting princess should).
And what about that iconic underbite? According to vets, it is a fairly common issue in Persian breeds (due to irresponsible breeding), and it is something she was born with. But don’t worry – it doesn’t cause her any eating issues!
